I recently upgraded from an S to an X and I have video problems, when I choose 'auto-detect' it will not let me change any options and the only video resolution available is 640x480, also there's no sound, I had no such problem on my xbox one S, could enable everything including 4k on 'auto-detect' mode, however if I choose 'HDMI' it will let me enable most of the options (excluding HDR because HDMI5 doesn't support HDR BUT it supports low latency of 17ms that's why I used it with my Xbox One Elite, Xbox One S in 4k setting without any problems), but when I try to select 4K UHD it tells me my TV doesn't support 4k at 60hz, which it does according to TV's specifications and it worked with One S, and also Apple TV at 4k 60hz setting. I really hope someone from tech division of Xbox sees this and does something about it. The views of the moderation team do not reflect the view of Microsoft or its subsidiaries.
